CORVUS CORAX :: Neues Video zu „Beowulf“ aus ihrem Metal-Album
„Era Metallum“, das erste Metal Album von CORVUS CORAX seit Bandbestehen 1989, wurde Ende Juni veröffentlicht. Mit vielen musikalischen Gästen, u.a. Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian) Doro Pesch, Alan Averill (Primordial) und vielen mehr. Alle Gitarren wurden eingespielt von Sami Yli Sirniö (Kreator).
Das Video zu „Beowulf“ wurde nun auf dem Video Kanal von Corvus Corax veröffentlicht. Beowulf ist eine alte Wikingergeschichte. Für dieses Video gab es ganz spezielle Ideen zur Umsetzung: Die Band baute in Eigenarbeit ein Stabpuppentheater. Alle Puppen und Vorlagen wurden von dem mexikanischen Dudelsackspieler und Maler Xandru Galvez gezeichnet, der seit einigen Jahren Mitglieder in der Band ist.

Die schwedischen Melodic Death Metal Pioniere AT THE GATES promoten weiterhin ihr aktuelles Studioalbum „The Nightmare Of Being“, indem sie heute einen neuen Videoclip zum Track „Garden Of Cyrus“ veröffentlicht haben.
AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg Redant comments about the video as follows: “For our latest video, “Garden Of Cyrus”, we have once again chosen to work with our long-time partner Costin Chioreanu. And I think it is safe to say that this time he has truly outdone himself! It is a different song, at least in death metal terms, and of course it needed a different idea for the video. Once again, we let Costin do his own interpretation of the music and the lyrics, and he has taken us on a real psychedelic journey with this one. I think this is the song on our latest album “The Nightmare Of Being” that raised the most eyebrows in the metal community. And I am proud that we as a band can still surprise people, adding another dimension to our sound, without losing the essence of what AT THE GATES is. Enjoy!”

“The term ‘End Of times’ relates to the era that precedes the termination of life on earth, with different man-made religions interpreting the events and time of its occurrence. The end of times marks the moment of divine retribution where the world will receive its grand judgement, widely referred as the Apocalypse. In our attempt on creating the sound and the visuals of the Apocalypse, the world is seen through the eyes of Lilith. The lyrics say, ‘This is the end of times; the cosmic energy has brought. Omniscience balance, the ascension has begun’.
We can ´t control the power of nature and cosmic events as we are simple mortal beings. Not only are we threatened by the force of nature beyond our control, but we are also threatened by our own flesh and blood. The urge of materialism, authority, power, status, and money, which can all lead to wars, oppression, pain, and sorrow. The song refers to the spiritual aspects and realities that are supposed to be hidden behind humanity’s material world and the evil of the spiritual world, but in fact it alludes to the man-made horrors of war, greed, oppression, mass consumption, the lack of integrity, and our self-made road to destruction which will eventually lead to the end of humanity. If we were to be asked, ‘What would the Apocalypse sound like?’, then this is it. As the lyrics also state, ‘Passengers on the death train, welcome everybody – time to climb onboard!’”

Karin Park wurde wegen ihrer Persönlichkeit als die skandinavische Nico bezeichnet, und die Dark-Ambient-Legende Lustmord nannte sie eine „Naturgewalt“. Doch trotz einer Teilnahme am Eurovision Song Contest, einem Jahr mit ausverkauften Shows als Hauptdarstellerin in Les Miserables in Oslo und Auftritten an der Seite von Lana Del Rey und David Bowie sind Karins Talente für die breite Öffentlichkeit immer noch etwas unterbelichtet.
