Die US-Death Metal Legenden AUTOPSY präsentieren mit „Morbidity Triumphant“ das erste neue Studioalbum seit „Tourniquets, Hacksaws and Graves“ von 2014. „Morbidity Triumphant“ ist auch das erste Album, auf dem der neue Bassist Greg Wilkinson zu hören ist, der zusammen mit Chris auch bei Static Abyss zu hören ist, und wurde in den Opus Studios unter der Leitung des langjährigen Tontechnikers Adam Munoz aufgenommen. Das Mastering wurde von Ken Lee durchgeführt.

Die portugiesischen Dark Metal-Meister MOONSPELL haben eine ganz besondere BluRay/DVD- und Album-Veröffentlichung angekündigt: Am 23. September 2022 präsentieren sie mit „From Down Below – Live 80 Meters Deep“ via Napalm Records ihr letztes Studioalbum Hermitage (2021) in seiner Live-Form. “With ‚Human To Ruin‘ I wanted to make a song that has an old school symphonic feel to it, but at the same time doesn’t get too polished or “pretty” to reflect the theme of the track. The vocal processing on the choruses is inspired by 90’s grunge and the instrumental middle part gives off something psychedelic, all in all it’s quite eclectic.

Die okkulte Dark Rock/Metal Band GOSPELHEIM hat ein düsteres Video veröffentlicht, das die erste Single „Praise Be“ illustriert. Das Video stammt vom neuen Album „Ritual & Repetition“ der Briten, das am 21. Oktober bei Prophecy Productions erscheinen soll.

Info: Focusing on the gloomy and eerie elements of Black Metal, ‚Primordial Impurity‘ evokes a particularly hypnotizing atmosphere. The mesmeric rhythm and riffing in combination with the harsh, yet perspicuous vocal lines and the raw production transport the listener directly into the blasphemous soundscapes of the early 90s.

Frontman and composer Sodomic comments on the musical influences that shaped ‚Primordial Impurity‘ and the new album:
„It’s hard to define those, but we can separate things into two parts:
Firstly, at the beginning of the band – I am talking about the first 3 or 4 albums – our biggest influence was BATHORY. This does not only account for the music, but also concerning the fact that we did not do live performances at that time. So, all BATHORY albums are very important and a great influence for me, especially in the early years of POWER FROM HELL.
Secondly, with the album „Profound Evil Presence“ we started to include some elements of the second wave of Black Metal in our music and, of course, the Norwegian scene played an important role in this process. Concerning the albums from that period that were important to me, the list is rather extensive. But I can say that the first EMPEROR, DARKTHRONE and SATYRICON albums have a special place in my mind and personal collection.“

In „Königsmord“ erzählen MANNTRA von einem Herrscher, der bei seinem Volk in Ungnade gefallen ist. Der Teufel in Person regiert von seinem goldenen Thron, doch das Volk plant bereits das Ende seiner Schreckensherrschaft. Was haben sie vor und wer wird sein Nachfolger sein?

In dem Song geht es nicht nur textlich ordentlich zur Sache. „Königsmord“ ist sehr folkig und lädt zum Tanzen und Headbangen gleichermaßen ein. Eine kurze Verschnaufpause bietet die mystische Bridge, die die Spannung auf das Ende der Geschichte schier unerträglich macht. Bei „Königsmord“ vereinen MANNTRA ihre Liebe zur englischen und deutschen Sprache und verweben beide zu einem großartigen Mantel, der die Tragik des Songs perfekt in Szene setzt.

Nachdem PERISH mit „Soulless“ und „Hopeless“ vor ein paar Wochen bereits zwei Singles von ihrem Debütalbum „The Decline“ veröffentlicht haben, erscheint nun mit „JOYLESS“ die dritte Single in Form eines Videos.
