Autumn’s Grief is a Finnish metal band that combines the elements from soundtrack music, melodic metal, symphonic metal and doom metal. The band was formed in 2021 by Santtu Rosén (Dead End Finland, Ex-Dying Daylight), Ville Skön (Willie Dangerr, Ex-Dying Daylight) and Noora Virtanen (Tulio, Musta Orkidea).
The band comments:
„The song tells a story of the two individuals destined to meet over and over again through the ages. Decades, centuries and millenniums may pass, but the connection never fades. It is a force binding together. The strong feeling of a familiarity. Where have I seen those eyes before? Though the times change we will always search for the one hidden deep down inside our memory. For with the company of some souls we feel more safe and whole.“

WOLFHEART :: Nächste Single „The King“ mit Video führt neuen Sänger ein
Mit der Veröffentlichung der zweiten Single „The King“ aus dem kommenden Album „King of the North“, das am 16. September 2022 über Napalm Records erscheint, machen WOLFHEART weiter neugierig auf das neue Werk. Auf dem Track debütiert Gitarrist Vageliss als neuer, zweiter Sänger neben Tuomas Saukkonen.
Info: Auf der neuen Single bricht Frontmann Tuomas Saukkonen mit seinen markerschütternden Gutturals das Eis, während er von einer epischen Orchestrierung mit Streichern und Bläsern begleitet wird. Schwere Gitarrenklänge und ein kraftvolles Schlagzeug marschieren durch den Track, während Tuomas die Geschichte von der Jagd auf den mächtigen Waldgott erzählt. „The King“ ist das glorreichste Epos des Albums, das WOLFHEARTs exquisite Balance aus grandioser melodischer Atmosphäre mit erdrückenden schweren Gitarren und stampfenden Drums entfesselt und heute zusammen mit einem neuen Musikvideo Premiere feiert.

„‚The King‘ is about a broken sacred rule that forbids the hunt of a bear in winter. Hunter was only allowed to face the king when it was in its full strength. Bear was carried out from the forest head first because bears spirit was believed to live forever and only dead were carried feet first. The skull was hung in a sacred tree facing east where the spirits were believed to travel. Bear was truly the ruler of the woodlands and especially the death of the king was full of rituals and beliefs. The song also introduces our guitarist Vageliss as a vocalist in a leading role and his magnificent execution brings Wolfheart trademark sound into a new level“

MORK :: Neue Vinyl EP Mitte September mit exklusivem Material
Die norwegischen Black Metaller MORK veröffentlichen in Kürze eine neue Viyl-EP. „Den Svevende Festning“ enthält sechs Tracks und über 32 Minuten rohen und atmosphärischen norwegischen Black Metal, vor allem aber exklusives und unveröffentlichtes Material, das während der Katedralen-Album-Sessions aufgenommen wurde, und zwar in Form des Titeltracks (der auch das Motiv für das Coverbild ist, eine alte Zeichnung der Festung Fredriksten in Eriksens Heimatstadt Halden) und von „Ormtunge“. Seite A wird durch das alternative Arrangement des Titels „Født Til Å Herske“ vervollständigt, das bisher nur digital erhältlich war. Seite B enthält eine Auswahl von Live-Tracks aus Morks letzten Konzerten, darunter eine Reihe von Stücken aus dem Katedralen-Opus.

Thomas Eriksen kommentiert: „Es scheint, dass wir mittlerweile eine Tradition haben, mit einer EP zwischen jedem Album. Daran kann ich mich gewöhnen! Ich mag das Format, das es uns erlaubt, etwas anderes zu machen und mit dem Material herumzuspielen, bei Alben müssen wir natürlich strenger sein. Dieses Mal hatte ich noch ein paar Tracks von den Katedralen-Sessions übrig. Der Titeltrack „Den Svevende Festning“ hat mir schon immer gefallen und wurde eigentlich nur wegen der Albumlänge gekürzt. Es ist passend, dass ihm eine eigene EP gewidmet ist. „Den Svevende Festning“ ist eine Hommage an meine Heimatstadt Halden mit ihrer majestätischen Fredriksten-Festung, die in der Skyline über der Stadt schwebt. Es ist kraftvoll und eine gute Kanonenkugel ins Gesicht!“

Das PROPHECY FEST 2022 hat die Running Order für alle drei Tage der diesjährigen Ausgabe veröffentlicht, die von Donnerstag, 29. September, bis Samstag, 1. Oktober, in einem der faszinierendsten Kulturorte der Welt, der legendären Balver Höhle, stattfinden wird.
Martin Koller kommentiert: „Beim Prophecy Fest ist jede Band ein Headliner“, unterstreicht der Labelgründer noch einmal. „Wir richten uns bei der Zusammenstellung der Festivalreihenfolge immer nach dem besten dramaturgischen Effekt – und nicht nach der Größe der einzelnen Bands. Natürlich gibt es noch viele andere Faktoren, wie z.B. Reisezeiten, die wir berücksichtigen und einkalkulieren müssen. Dennoch denken wir, dass wir ein spannendes Programm zusammengestellt haben, das ebenso musikalisch vielfältig wie faszinierend sein wird.
