SUBWAY TO SALLY präsentieren die gemeinsame Darbietung des SALTATIO MORTIS-Hits „IX“ aus ihrer kommenden Live-Blu-Ray/DVD/CD „Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark“ (VÖ 18. Juni 2021 via Napalm Records).
Der Klassiker entstammt in seiner ursprünglichen Form dem Saltatio Mortis-Album „Das Schwarze Einmaleins“ (2013) und ist jetzt für die Ewigkeit festgehalten – intoniert von beiden Bands und auf „Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark“ in einer exklusiven und mitreißenden Version zu finden.

„Der Song ‚IX‘ wurde von uns gecovert und in eine spezielle SUBWAY TO SALLY-Form gebracht. Unsere langjährigen Weggefährten von Saltatio Mortis haben sich das gewünscht für die Bonus-CD ihrer Zirkus Zeitgeist Platte. Innerhalb kurzer Zeit war der Titel bei unseren Fans so beliebt, dass er zeitweise ein paar unserer Klassiker aus unseren Streaming Top-5 verdrängte. Nach einer gemeinsamen Tour, auf der wir den Track mit SaMo gespielt haben, hatten wir so große Freude an dem Song, dass wir ihn für einige Zeit im regulären Liveset behielten. Oder anders: Eine SaMo-Coverversion wurde Bestandteil des STS-Sets! Ich glaube, einen schöneren Schulterschluss kann es innerhalb unserer Szene nicht geben und so haben wir uns wahnsinnig drauf gefreut, den Titel bei der EHNO wieder gemeinsam mit unseren Freunden zu performen.“
I AM THE NIGHT :: 90s BM von Insomnium & Omnium Gatherum Mitgliedern
I AM THE NIGHT, bestehend aus Mitgliedern von Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, Paradise Lost und Bodom After Midnight, veröffentlichen erste Single „Hear Me O‘ Unmaker“. Am 11. Juni wird sie als erste I AM THE NIGHT 12inch Maxi Single via Svart Records erscheinen. „Hear Me O’ Unmaker“ ist auf 500 Exemplare limitiert und wird eine neue Version von „Acclamation of Bond“s des norwegischen Ecksteins der zweiten Black Metal Welle Emperor auf der B-Seite enthalten. Das I AM THE NIGHT Debütalbum „While The Gods Are Sleeping“ wird im Herbst 2020 erscheinen.
Info: Hervorgebracht von den Underground-Titaten des finnischen Metals, Markus Vanhala (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum), Janne Markkanen (ex-Omnium Gatherum), Okko Solanterä and Walteri Väyrynen (Paradise Lost, Bodom After Midnight), nahm die Band ihren Ursprung bereits Mitte der 90er im schummerigen Licht der unterirdischen Proberäume, wo die Feuer von Vanhalas und Markkanens Black Metal entzündet wurden.
„Die Kunst des Black Metal war seit meiner Teenagerzeit immer ein kontinuierliches und ernstes Streben in meinem Leben“, erklärt Gitarrist Vanhala und fährt fort: „In The Nightside Eclipse, Storm Of The Light’s Bane und De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas öffneten vor Jahren das Tor zur dunklen Seite für mich, was man an der Musik, die wir mit I Am The Night machen, deutlich hören kann.“

UNREQVITED comment: „I began to conceptualize the theme of ‚Beautiful Ghosts‘ during the composition of ‚Autumn & Everley'“, relates ?. „Submerging myself into the absolute flow state of the album’s creation quickly became a very cathartic process, as once ‚Autumn & Everley‘ was completed the rest of the songs subsequently poured out of me very naturally in a short period of time. Aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage haben die portugiesischen Dark/Gothic Metaller MOONSPELL die offizielle Wiederveröffentlichung ihres Albums „Extinct“ (2015) und dessen Nachfolger „1755“ (2017) angekündigt.
