Die Norwegischen Gothic/Symphonic Metaller SIRENIA hat vor kurzem ihr zehntes Studioalbum, „Riddles, Ruins & Revelations“, über Napalm Records veröffentlicht. Mit „This Curse Of Mine“ wurde nun die vierte Single daraus als Lyric-Video veröffentlicht. https://www.facebook.com/sirenia

Nach der überwältigenden Resonanz auf WINDIRs „The Sognametal Legacy“-Box ist nun die gesamte Diskografie der norwegischen Black Metal-Band auf schwarzen und verschiedenfarbigen Vinyls und Tapes vorbestellbar. Das auf 1.184 Exemplare limitierte Boxset war innerhalb weniger Stunden ausverkauft.

Vorbestellungen sind ab sofort möglich und im Season of Mist Shop HIER erhältlich. Das Veröffentlichungsdatum ist auf den 28. Mai 2021 festgelegt.

Jarle Hváll Kvåle, bass guitarist and songwriter of VREID and WINDIR, comments on the release: “I am so happy that we are finally able to do this. There has been such a huge demand to release these albums on vinyl and I really have been looking forward to this day. These records are important cornerstones in our lives and represent a time that was very special to us. It is great to have a strong partner on board, and I am very proud that we can do this together with Season of Mist. 

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of ‚1184‘, and we think this is a great occasion to celebrate this unique album, the most important one in the WINDIR history. With this record, WINDIR became a full band for the first time and it was the first time that me and Terje wrote an album together. It was a time filled with youthful will, aggression, pride, curiosity and of course beautiful naivety.

Die Norwegischen Black Metaller TAAKE haben das letzte Jahr dafür genutzt, zwei Split-10″ mit Whoredom Rife und Deathcult zu veröffentlichen. Die dritte und auch letzte 10″ gibt es nun mit ihren Label Kollegen von HELHEIM (VÖ 19.3. Dark Essence Records). Während TAAKE zwei neue Tracks dafür aufgenommen haben, haben HELHEIM zwei Covertracks von Taake und Emperor mit dazu gepackt. Info: For this split release, Taake has recorded two new tracks: “Brotne Bein og Mannefall” and “Ein Baat I Foss”, with lyrics from the old Norwegian writer Arne Garborg (approximately 1895). This is the true Norwegian black metal that we all crave for. Gritty, dark and cold as father winter of dread himself.

Helheim’s contributions are two cover songs: A cover of Emperor’s “Heksesabbat / Witches Sabbath”, originally released on the tribute album “A Tribute to Emperor – In Honour of Icon E” from 2012 (now remastered) – and a quite different and original version of the Taake song “Orkan” from the album Noregs Vaapen.

Beim YouTube Kanal Black Metal Promotion könnt ihr seit heute das neue Album der Schweizer Post Black Metaller AARAs anhören, das am 26.3. offiziell bei Debemur Mortis erscheint. „Triade I: Eos“ ist der dritte Longplayer der Band und markiert den Beginn einer konzeptionellen Trilogie über den Gothic-Roman „Melmoth The Wanderer“, der von Charles Robert Maturin im Irland des 19. Laut Musiker Berg inspirierte dieser Roman die Band auf unterschiedliche Weise zur Entstehung von „Triade I: Eos“:
„It is the interest in history and culture that creates AARA as a whole entity. The mystique of the book helps to wrap the content appropriately in this kind of music, but it’s not what particularly appeals to us. It is just the way in which ‚Melmoth The Wanderer‘ is written, the humor – hidden behind many dialogues and scenes – as well as the strong involvement of Maturin’s opinion about the original world religions, this offers an impression of an individual at the beginning of the 19th century. It is more the reality of that time, which can be read between the lines, that fascinates us, than the actual story.“

Info: Ten years ago, Djevel burst into the Black Metal scene with the debut „Dødssanger“. With a fierce, raw energy and a breathtaking, ominous melodic touch, the trademark sound of the band had been placed. Now ten years into the story, the band have kept the sound and spirit, but evolved through three stages of new musicians being added to the signature riffs of main composer Ciekals, developing the music to new heights, while still maintaining the sonic outlet that identifies Djevel. So here we enter the third era, where Ciekals and Faust (ex-Emperor, Blood Tsunami) have been joined by new vocalist/bassist Kvitrim (Vemod). This new constellation of the band have built the bands 7th album „Tanker Som Rir Natten“, an album surpassing all what they’ve done before, and opening some new ideas within both production and composition. The raw feeling is still intact, and the acoustic elements have returned. But the eerie, haunting atmosphere have grown stronger, making it the most varied output from the band thus far.
