The album artwork cover painting named „Uni“ was offered by musician/artist Bobby Beausoleil and worked perfectly with the occult and ritual musical approach of the Nest.
April 2019 saw WOLVENNEST performing the album „Void“ live in its entirety for a unique show on the mainstage of Roadburn Festival with an exclusive line-up made of Shazzula (vocals/theremin), Michel Kirby (guitar), Corvus Von Burtle (guitar), Marc De Backer (guitar), John Marx (bass), Bram Moerenhout (drums) , DéHà (vocals) and lead member of The Ruins Of Beverast Alexander Von Meilenwald (vocals) as special guest . All the visuals were made and screened by A Thousand Lost Civilizations, and are part of the Nest since the very beginning. In the meantime WOLVENNEST brought out an exclusive 3 song EP named „Vortex“. From that moment the Nest followed their ascension of shows all over Europe and joined in February 2020 bands and close friends Dread Sovereign and Saturnalia Temple for a ten days tour which ended by a special night at venue Ancienne Belgique, an ultime occasion for the Nest to record the „Ritual MMXX“ live album in their hometown Brussels.
In March 2020 WOLVENNEST started the recordings of their third full-length album, at the beginning of the pandemic which was diving humanity in obscure days and an unprecedented situation. For this opus every member injected soul, heart, sweat and opened the gates of their temple with songs as „Mantra“, „Swear to Fire“, „Disappear“, „Succubus“ (featuring a collaboration with TJ Cowgill from King Dude on vocals) and „Souffle de mort“, which is closing „Temple“ with an ultimate witchy occult ceremony moment.

Mit dem Verbot für Großveranstaltungen bis zum Jahresende kam vor einigen Wochen auch das sichere Aus für die beliebte SVBWAY TO SALLY-Indoor Festivalreihe „Eisheiligge Nacht“. Eine Tatsache, die den Potsdamern große Bauchschmerzen bereitete, immerhin steckt ihr ganzes Herzblut darin. So entschied man kurzerhand, die „Eisheilige Nacht“ dieses Jahr in digitaler Form via Streaming Show stattfinden zu lassen ? und zwar im gleichen Zeitraum wie normalerweiise die Shows selbst stattgefunden hätten: von 25. Bis 31. Dezember wird das Konzert, für das es bereits ganz besondere Pläne und ganz besondere Gäste gibt, zu erleben sein.
„Weihnachtszeit ohne Eisheilige Nacht ist für uns wiee Weihnachten ohne Tannenbaum“, so die Band. ?Was wir schon länger ahnteen ist inzwischen Gewissheit: Wir werden in diesem Jahr kein einziges Live-Konzert spielen können. Wir wollen dennoch in diesem verflixten Jahr 2020 die Tradition nicht brechen und den Jahresabschluss mit euch feiern! Wir vermissen die Konzerte, unsere Crew und vor allem EUCH- unser Publikum! „I remember starting to write the song ‚First Day Of Winter‘ as the first snow fell in the year of 2002. Little did I imagine that it would take another 18 years for it to be fully completed! The song was finished this summer in a hot recording studio, but of course, we had to wait until the winter solstice for this release. Sorry, that we’ve kept you waiting, but here it finally is in its full winter dress.“

Die norwegischen Black Metaller VALDAUDR um BLOOD RED THRONE Gitarrist Død haben mit „Liket Skulle Vaert Brent“ einen Song aus ihrem Debütalbum „Drapsdalen“ veröffentlicht. Das Album erscheint am 26. Februar via Soulseller Records auf CD und digital. Eine Vinyl-Verson ist für den Frühling geplant.

Info: VALDAUDR roots on the Black Metal project Cobolt 60, which was initiated by guitarist Død (Blood Red Throne, ex-Satyricon) back in 2000. Though the music is a continuation of Cobolt 60, VALDAUDR is something different as new vocalist Vald (also known from his works with Blood Red Throne) has a totally different vocal style and even puts on some clean vocals here and there. It’s still old school and primitive Black Metal, but with some folk elements and epic themes. Think of Darkthrone meets early Ulver meets Primordial! On their debut album „Drapsdalen“ Rune Nesse (Taake – live) handled the drums and also took care of the mix.
