SIRENIA :: 80er Coverstück als dritte Single veröffentlicht
Die französisch-norwegischen Symphonic/Gothic Metaller SIRENIA werden diesen Freitag, den 12. Februar, ihr zehntes Studioalbum „Riddles, Ruins & Revelations“ über Napalm Records veröffentlichen. Mastermind Morten Veland on choosing “Voyage Voyage” for the album:
„As our new album is influenced by the eighties to some extent, we thought it would be fitting to do a cover version from this era, and include it as a bonus track on the album. ‚Voyage Voyage‘ by the artist Desireless is one of my favourite songs from this decade and it was a very interesting song to cover. In terms of covers, I love to find songs from a completely different genre and then put SIRENIA’s touch and sound to it. It never made any sense to me to do a cover version of a different rock or metal band, as the versions would end up too similar anyway.“

Vocalist Efthimis comments on ‚Giants of Anger‘: „‚Giants of Anger‘ is about Wilhelm’s II (the last German emperor) struggle with Erb’s palsy, and the mental challenges he underwent to overcome it in a world where royal blood ought to be healthy. The song is carrying the frustration and reminds us all that mental disorders make no discrimination.“

Das Gothic Rock Duo WISBORG um Konstantin Michaely (Vocals, Gitarre, Programming) und Nikolas Eckstein (Backing Vocals, Gitarre, Synths, Programming) hat ein Video zu ihrer neuen Single „I Believe In Nothing“ online gestellt. Es handelt sich bei „I Believe In Nothing“ um die erste Single-Auskopplung vom neuen WISBORG-Album „Into The Void“, welches am 19.3.2021 über Danse Macabre Records erscheint, und damit die von vornherein in Trilogie-Form angelegte erste Schaffensperiode des Duos abschließt. dArtagnans viertes Album klingt ein gutes Stück dynamischer und rockiger als seine Vorgänger. Die Live-Erfahrung zahlreicher Touren und Konzerte hat die Band reifen lassen. Es erscheint nur konsequent, dass die Band mit Felix Heldt erstmals einen ausgewiesenen Live-Experten zum Produzenten von FEUER & FLAMME auserkor und außerdem selbst als Co-Produzent zur Tat schritt. „Felix kennt unsere Bühnenenergie wie kein anderer“, lässt Bandkopf, Sänger und Multiinstrumentalist Ben Metzner wissen. „Gerade in diesen schwierigen Zeiten konnten wir mit ihm die idealen Vorrausetzungen schaffen für die Aufnahmen dieses Albums.“
