BLACKBRIAR :: Single stimmt auf Debütalbum ein
Nachdem die niederländische Alternative Gothic Rock/Metal Band BLACKBRIAR bereits drei EPs und eine Tour mit Epica aufweisen kann, kündigt sie nun ihr Debütalbum „The Cause Of Shipwreck“ an. Das über Crowdfunding finanzierte Werk erscheint am Freitag, 23. April 2021 und wurde vergangenes Jahr gemeinsam mit Joost van den Broek (u.a. Epica, Ayreon, Powerwolf, Kovacs) in dessen Sandlane Recording Facilities aufgenommen. EINHERJER :: 3. Vorabsingle “West Coast Groove”
Die Viking Metal-Pioniere EINHERJER werden am 26. Februar ihr achtes Studioalbum “North Star” veröffentlichen. Mit “West Coast Groove” wurde nun der 3. Track vorab veröffentlicht. Das Album markiert die Rückkehr der Band zu Napalm Records nach 25 Jahren und die Veröffentlichung ihres legendären “Dragons Of The North-Albums (1996)”, das ebenfalls am 26. Februar in einer remasterten Version wiederveröffentlicht wird.

MARTY FRIEDMAN :: Vorabvideo zum neuen Coversongs Album
Der bekannte Gitarrist MARTY FRIEDMAN veröffentlicht ‚Tokyo Jukebox 3‘ am 16.04.2021 via Mascot Label Group / The Players Club. Es ist das dritte Album aus der Serie von Coverversionen japanischer Songs. Brandneu gibt es das Video zu „Makenaide“ zu sehen.
Geboren in Washington D.C., erlangte Friedman zunächst Aufmerksamkeit mit der Band Cacophony, die er zusammen mit dem ebenso rätselhaften und mittlerweile legendären Gitarristen Jason Becker gründete. Sie veröffentlichten zwei hoch bewertete Alben und dann wurde er 1990 von Megadeth rekrutiert und wirkte in den nächsten zehn Jahren auf einigen der einflussreichsten Metal-Alben aller Zeiten mit. Seine atemberaubende Bandbreite und seine unorthodoxen musikalischen Beiträge zu „Rust In Peace“ im Jahr 1990 und „Countdown To Extinction“ zwei Jahre später machten ihn zu einer Ikone und verhalfen Megadeth zu ihrem Höhepunkt.
Seit 2003 lebt Friedman in Tokio, wo sein Name auch außerhalb der Musikwelt zu einem Begriff geworden ist. Seit er nach Japan gezogen ist, ist er in über 700 japanischen Fernsehsendungen aller Art sowie in Kinofilmen und Werbespots aufgetreten. Außerdem wurde er kürzlich von der japanischen Regierung zum Botschafter des japanischen Kulturerbes ernannt. Paralell veröffentlichte Marty weiterhin seine Soloalben und tourte mit diesen weltweit. Seit seinem Solodebüt ‘Dragon’s Kiss’ von 1988 bringt er regelmäßig neues Material heraus, welches immer sehr gut von Fans und Kritikern aufgenommen wird. Sein jüngstes Album ‘Tokyo Jukebox 3’ (VÖ 16.04.2021) ist wie der Titel schon sagt, das dritte Album aus dieser Serie von Coverversionen japanischer Songs. Die Vorgänger erschienen 2009 und 2011.
