„We think it should be received as a testament to our tireless effort to create our own unique brand of heavy music that is equal parts heavy, melodic, gloomy and just rockable. It’s brooding, depressive, dark, uneasy and often aggressive. Listening to it you can understand why we named it „Kill The Bliss“. It’s not all doom and gloom though. There are some positive moments as well.“
Having the pleasure of sharing the stage with touring acts such as Katatonia, Wednesday 13, All Hail The Yeti, Final Drive, Caspian and Invidia along with being nominated in 2018 for Metal Recording of The Year by Calgary’s YYC Music Awards, BLQ continues to build on their live performances delivering a healthy dose of heavy, gloomy tunes to their audiences with no foreseeable end in sight. Their debut album „Kill The Bliss“ is slated for release on March 13th, 2020.

The forlorn and sorrowful Bean Sídhe, a cursed soul doomed to mourn eternally, widely regarded as a figured to be feared, not pitied.The Cailleach Béara, forgotten by time and people, a once great deity reduced to squalor and despair.

CANDLEMASS :: Lyric-Video zum Titeltrack der neuen EP
CANDLEMASS werden am 27. März ihre neue EP „The Pendulum“ via Napalm Records veröffentlichen. Ein Lyric-Video zum Titeltrack wurde nun veröffentlicht.
Band Mastermind Leif Edling: „THE PENDULUM“ is about hard riffing, epic choruses and total delusion the fanatical way. It is in fact the last thing I wrote for „THE DOOR TO DOOM“ album but didn’t have the time to finish it. Here it is in its grand/mad luster with a great mix by Niklas Flyckt, and produced by Marcus Jidell. It is followed by 5 unreleased demos from the DTD sessions because the whole sha-bang was at first supposed to be a double effort but got trimmed down to a single album eventually.
I love the PENDULUM track, album quality if you ask me, and songs like „THE PORCELAIN SKULL“ and „SNAKES OF GOLIATH“ are not bad either. They just didn’t make it to the final thing. So I hope you like this EP that features the „missing“ songs. The last pieces of the puzzle of the 1 year recording that became the album „DOOR TO DOOM“. Enjoy!“

ON THORNS I LAY :: Nächste Single aus dem kommenden 8. Album
Der Song „Erynies“ ist die nächste Single des kommenden neuen ON THORNS I LAY Albums „Threnos“, das am 21. Februar auf Lifeforce Records erscheinen wird. Die Griechen sind seit den 90er mit ihrem Death Doom Gothic Metal aktiv und haben bereits sieben Alben veröffentlicht.
Legend and all around great guy Dan Swanö, who was also responsible for the mix and mastering of „Threnos“, comments: „A part of my wishes it will flop mercilessly, so I can buy all the riffs and release it under my own name…ha, ha!!“

Die Dark Alternative Rocker VLAD IN TEARS haben ihre nächste Single rausgehauen, bevor zwei Wochen später, pünktlich am Valentinstag, ihr neues Album „Dead Stories Of Forsaken Lovers“ veröffentlicht wird.
Kris Vlad über WE DIE TOGETHER:
„Die Bedeutung des Songs ist simpel. Es geht und zwei Liebende, die eine harte Zeit zusammen durchmachen. Sie lieben sich so sehr, dass sie nicht mehr ohne einander können. Sie lieben sich so sehr, dass es zu einer Art Obsession wird und dass sie sogar zusammen sterben würden, um im Tod für immer miteinander vereint zu sein…“
Mit der Single wird auch ein Lyric-Video veröffentlicht. Die Band hat sich für ein Lyric-Video entscheiden, weil die Bedeutung des Songs bei ihren Fans und Followern des Dark Rock im Vordergrund stehen soll. Es wird schnell und leicht sein, sich den Song einzuprägen und ihn dann aus vollem Halse gemeinsam mit der Band auf ihrer im März startenden Tour singen zu können.
